Terms of Service
Last updated September 21, 2026
Who these terms are with
Liney is operated by Liney AI, based in New Brunswick, Canada (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between us and you, and the organization whose HubSpot account you connect. By connecting HubSpot or using Liney, you agree to them. If you use Liney for an organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.
Liney is for business use. You must be at least 18 years old. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we handle and why.
What Liney does
You type a line about your work, such as a call or a meeting. Liney proposes changes to deals, contacts and companies in HubSpot, plus notes, calls, tasks and meetings, and writes them when you choose Update HubSpot. You can also edit records directly in the sheet. Liney shows the proposed values before writing, and keeps the previous values so a line can be undone for 30 days.
Liney is in beta. Features will change, and parts of the service may be added, changed or removed as it develops.
The beta programme
During the beta, Liney is open to a limited number of HubSpot accounts. When those places are taken, new accounts can't connect until a place opens. We may change how many places there are, and we may end a team's place if the account stops being used. Nothing is charged for a place.
We ask beta teams to use Liney on real work, rate the lines it writes, and tell us what is wrong or confusing. Ratings and feedback help us improve how Liney reads your lines, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Teams that take part get 50% off the Team plan for their first year once paid plans open. We decide in good faith whether a team took part, based on regular use and feedback during the beta, and we'll email you about it before paid plans start. The discount applies to the Team plan as priced at that time, for one HubSpot account, and it isn't exchangeable for anything else.
AI suggestions and your responsibility
Liney uses an AI model to read your lines and suggest changes. Suggestions can be wrong or incomplete. You're responsible for checking what Liney proposes before you write it, and for what ends up in your HubSpot account. Don't rely on Liney as the only record of important information.
Your HubSpot connection
You connect with your own HubSpot login through HubSpot's standard permission screen. Liney acts with your HubSpot permissions and can only do what your HubSpot user can do. It asks to read and write deals, contacts, companies and tasks, to create notes, calls and meetings and read them back so it can remove them on undo, and to read owners and field settings. An admin for your organization may need to approve you before you can use Liney.
Your use of HubSpot is also governed by HubSpot's own terms. Liney is independent of HubSpot, Inc., and is not authorized by, endorsed by, sponsored by, affiliated with, or otherwise approved by HubSpot, Inc. HubSpot is a trademark of HubSpot, Inc.
You can disconnect at any time in Settings, and delete your Liney data there with Delete my data. Some data stays afterwards, as the Privacy Policy explains. Neither uninstalls the app from HubSpot: to remove it there, a HubSpot admin can go to Settings > Integrations > Connected apps.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Liney to break the law or anyone else's rights, including privacy and anti-spam laws;
- connect a HubSpot account you aren't authorized to use;
- try to get around usage limits, access other people's data, or probe, disrupt or overload the service;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer Liney, or use it to build a competing product;
- put content in Liney that is malicious, such as code meant to cause harm.
Developers and the custom-CRM contract
If you connect a CRM of your own through Liney's developer kit (the contract at /developers/llms.txt, the checker, the starters, a test team), these terms apply to that use as well, with the following in addition.
- A test team is for building and checking your integration. It holds sample data, is capped at 200 lines a day, takes no beta slot, and is removed after 60 days without use. You may have two.
- The keys and the secret on your connection card are yours to keep private. Whoever holds the secret can sign in to your team as any rep your schema push listed, so treat it like a password.
- Liney sends your integration field values, notes, tasks and undo requests, and nothing else. What it does not send, show or ship is how it reads a line, decides what to ask, or chooses what to write; you agree not to probe for it, extract it, reverse engineer it, or use Liney's output to build a product that competes with it.
- Scripted or repetitive lines on a test team are not a way to study Liney; they may be slowed or refused and are visible to us.
- Your integration is yours: the code you write against the contract, and the data in your CRM, belong to you. The contract carries a version in its path and a
Liney-Contractheader, and a breaking change keeps the old version working for twelve months.
Your data
You and your organization own your data, including your lines and the records in your HubSpot account. You give us permission to use that data only to run Liney for you: to read your HubSpot records, propose and write changes, keep the history that makes undo work, and support you. We don't sell your data.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we can use them to improve Liney without owing you anything for them.
Plans and billing
Liney has a free allowance of lines each month, shared across your organization's HubSpot account, and a paid Team plan priced per connected rep. Current details are on the Pricing page. Edits made directly in the sheet don't count toward the allowance.
Liney isn't taking payments during the beta. When paid plans open, Team plans renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel any time, and the plan stays active until the end of the period already billed. Prices may change; we'll tell you before a change applies to your plan. Billing is handled by our payment provider, Stripe.
Suspension and ending
You can stop using Liney at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, if your use puts the service or other users at risk, or if we stop offering Liney. Where we reasonably can, we'll give notice first. Data handling after you leave is described in the Privacy Policy.
Our service
We work to keep Liney available and accurate, but it's provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond what these terms say, including about fitness for a particular purpose, and we don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error free. Liney depends on services we don't control, including HubSpot and our AI provider.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim about Liney is limited to the greater of the amount your organization paid us for Liney in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 Canadian dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
You agree to cover our reasonable losses from claims by others caused by your breach of these terms or your misuse of Liney.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Liney changes. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email about changes that matter. Continuing to use Liney after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of New Brunswick, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.
